Executive Summary
During my first three years as Carson City Clerk-Recorder, I focused on secure elections, strong property protections, modernized services, and responsive customer service. Drawing on over 30 years of private-sector experience in the title insurance industry, I worked to strengthen public trust, protect residents’ property rights, preserve Carson City’s historic records, and ensure elections are conducted accurately, transparently, and professionally.
Since taking office as Carson City Clerk-Recorder, I have focused on modernizing services, protecting property owners, strengthening election integrity, preserving public records, and improving customer service for our residents. The following highlights reflect the accomplishments achieved during the first three years of my four-year term.
Election Administration & Integrity
Successfully administered multiple city, state, and federal elections, including high-turnout election cycles, while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with Nevada law.
Strengthening public trust in elections through clear communication, open observation processes, and voter education initiatives.
Expanded election worker recruitment, training, and retention, ensuring well-prepared teams at every voting location.
Enhanced logic and accuracy testing, chain-of-custody procedures, and ballot processing transparency.
Increased outreach and education regarding mail ballot procedures, deadlines, and voter options.
Implemented voter-focused initiatives designed to make voting accessible, secure, and understandable for all Carson City residents.
Everyday focus on Voter Roll maintenance to maintain the most accurate rolls to minimize expense of mail ballots sent and avoid any potential fraud with outstanding mail ballots.
Recorder’s Office Modernization & Property Protection
Advanced modernization of the Recorder’s Office to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
Promoted and expanded awareness of Property Fraud Notification services, helping residents protect their most valuable assets.
Improved recording workflows to ensure timely, accurate processing of documents for homeowners, businesses, and title professionals.
Strengthened collaboration with state and local recording partners to adopt best practices and improve service delivery.
Public Records Preservation & Access
Prioritized the preservation of Carson City’s historic records, ensuring documents are protected for future generations.
Improved access to public records while maintaining security, confidentiality, and legal compliance.
Supported investments in records management systems and secure storage to safeguard vital documents.
Continued efforts to balance historical preservation with modern digital access.
Customer Service & Community Focus

Expanded public education on the services provided by the Clerk-Recorder, including recording, elections, marriage licenses, and notary services.

Leadership & Fiscal Responsibility
Managed the Clerk-Recorder’s Office with a focus on responsible budgeting and effective use of taxpayer resources.
Led staff through operational improvements while maintaining continuity of services during busy election cycles.
Advocated for infrastructure and technology upgrades to ensure long-term operational stability.
Represented Carson City at the local, state and professional level, strengthening partnerships and keeping the city aligned with best practices.
